The Club - All the info about the club

The club is run by a committee to provide tennis opportunities for all young people from the ages of 4 to 16. These include the complete beginners as well as the more experienced tournament players.

The current committee are listed below:-

• Treasurer - Sheila Thomas
• Head Coach - Rachael Jacobs
• General Committee Members - Jeremy Shute, Phil Helmore, Ian Churchward, Peter Palmer and Tim Allnutt.

There are approximately 150 members and the club enters teams in the local leagues and runs a club ladder system. There are also organised holiday tennis sessions which are free for members.

Coaching is available on an individual or group basis under the direction of the Head Coach, Rachael Jacobs. Juniors of similar standard and age are put together. Whilst squad training is available for more experienced players and Mini Tennis for the under 6's using soft balls. Visit the coaching page to find the right training for you.

Communications

Each member receives regular mailings giving details of future events such as holiday tennis, tournaments, special fun days and the Annual General meeting.

Complaints/helpful suggestions

Members should not hesitate to approach committee members with any complaints. If we don't know about it we cannot try to rectify the problem. Also, the committee is very keen for members to contribute to the club, so helpful suggestions are most welcome.

Wimbledon Tickets

The club is affiliated to the LTA, one benefit of which is an allocation of Wimbledon Tickets. A ballot for tickets is held and those wishing to enter should place their name on the list which is placed on the notice board in April each year.
